I'm Millie, 21, a Sociology student and from Newcastle, UK. I live with my lovely husband (or boyfriend if the family ask) Chris and our hamster Yuri. (named after the first man in space if you're curious)
A bit of background on my life in this journal: I dropped out of school at 13, studied on my own to get my GCSEs, and started at Newcastle College in 2004 at 16; which is where our story (and my life as a young independent adult) starts. I had the best time at college, went out too much, got so much more independent and confident, met loads of new people - and some that would become really significant in my life. In March of 2006 at just 17 and in the last few weeks of my time at college I started going out with Chris. I then took a gap year in 2006/7 with the intention of travelling, but finding getting a good job with two A levels and no experience a bit harder than initially thought I ended up just working a few shit jobs and passing the time til I started University and moved in with Chris in 2007 at 19. Initially studying Photography and Psychology, changing to Psychology and Sociology - finding that Photography was fun but just too hard to get good grades in - the following year. Changed again for the third year in 2009 at 21 to a brand new University studying Sociology. And that is my life in a nutshell over the four and a bit years of using this journal.
I hope this journal will be vaguely interesting as I try to generally make the effort to make my life more interesting. I also plan to make use of the very expensive camera I bought when I studied Photography and which now lies neglected in the cupboard to furnish my entries with pretty pictures.
I absolutely love music and play the drums.
